Rosenbauer America has received another big order from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior. This one is for $208 million in firefighting apparatus.

Of the 800 firefighting vehicles to be supplied, 470 will be built at Rosenbauer's South Dakota division in Lyons.

"Rosenbauer is very excited about this latest apparatus order from Saudi Arabia," said Harold Boer, President of Rosenbauer America and CEO of Rosenbauer South Dakota LLC. "We value their continued business and are pleased that they are happy with the product that we provide them, time and time again."

The order will be fulfilled in several partial deliveries through mid-2016. The trucks that will come from Lyons include 200 big pumpers, 150 mini rescues and 120 lighting vehicles.

The remaining 330 vehicles are scheduled to be manufactured in Rosenbauer's plants in Austria, Germany and Spain.

The new vehicles are meant to enhance fire protection and civil defense in Saudi Arabia and upgrade the operational capabilities of the country's fire services.

Rosenbauer has been providing firefighting vehicles to the Saudis for several years. The company exported between 350 and 400 vehicles to the country last year.
