The charges are connected to the death of Jumping Eagle's wife, Alicia Rhae Jumping Eagle. She was found dead in their apartment earlier this month. Her husband is being held on $1 million bail.

Jumping Eagle was initially a person of interest. He became a suspect after police gathered witness accounts and after the hospital notified authorities about Jumping Eagle's odd recount of how he received his crash injuries.
