The Jones421 project is under construction.

Through September the city has permitted $573.4 million in construction, compared with $546 million through the same time last year.

Housing units are significantly ahead of last year, with 2,243 units permitted compared with 1,497 last year. Apartments, at 1,367 units, are nearly double last year’s 748 units.

There have been 577 single family houses permitted compared with 532 houses this time last year.

The largest project permitted in September was a nearly $4.4 million project for Sioux Falls Collision Center at 201 S. Carolyn Ave.
