Police are looking for a man whom they think fired shots at his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend early Sunday

A man told police that he went to visit his girlfriend at her home on Falcon Place in Sioux Falls late Saturday night when he began arguing with her ex-boyfriend, Gilberto Rivera. Police say during the argument, Rivera pulled a gun on the woman's boyfriend

The boyfriend drove away from the house but Rivera followed him in a gray Honda, Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Michael Olson said. Rivera then allegedly rammed the Honda into the boyfriend's car twice as they drove.

When both cars reached Fifth Street and Marion Road, police say Rivera got out of the car and fired two shots, missing the boyfriend and his car. The boyfriend then drove away quickly, running a red light at 12th Street and Marion Road before getting hit by a taxi.

No one was injured in the shooting or the crash, Olson said.

Police are still looking for Rivera and is asking anyone who knows where he is to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 367-7007.
