Milwaukee Bucks guard Nate Wolters (6) goes to the basket against Memphis Grizzlies forward Courtney Lee in the first half of an NBA basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Memphis, Tenn.

Here's your weekly dose of tidbits:

Former SDSU star point guard Nate Wolters starts his second NBA training camp Tuesday as the Milwaukee Bucks crank things up. The Bucks have 18 players in camp, meaning they'll have to cut three before opening night. Reportedly, Wolters has a guaranteed deal this season as he did as a rookie.
He may need it. Because new coach Jason Kidd on Monday mentioned to beat writer Charles Gardner three players capable of running the point, and Wolters wasn't one of them.

The SDSU volleyball team hosts rival North Dakota State (5-10) tonight. Both squads are 0-2 in Summit League play. What's more, the Jacks (6-12) have yet to win a set, while losing three sets by double digits. Also, they're only 1-7 at home.

The SDSU soccer team already is about halfway done with its 2016 recruiting, piling up a bunch of early verbals. That includes two players from the same club team in Manitoba: defender Maddy Comeau and midfielder Carina McLennan. Comeau took part in Canada's U-17 World Cup training camp earlier this year.

The SDSU baseball team is hosting is annual pro day Thursday afternoon. Coach Dave Schrage expects as many as 9-10 scouts to attend. The most likely to have reps there: Seattle, Minnesota, Miami, Milwaukee, Texas, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Atlanta and the MLB Scouting Bureau.
Senior closer J.D. Moore is the Jacks' top draw. But senior starting pitchers Adam Bray and Chad Hodges also are getting interest. All three are returning all-conference picks.

On Monday, the Jacks landed their 10th verbal for football: Roosevelt receiver and kicker Chase Vinatieri. He's the nephew of former SDSU kicker and punter Adam Vinatieri, a four-time Super Bowl winner. What role – if any – did that play in this?
"At first it really wasn't a big deal to me, but the closer I got to making my decision I thought it would be cool to continue the family ties through SDSU," he said.
Adam Vinatieri played for SDSU from 1991-994. He's currently with the Indianapolis Colts.
