Here's the latest from fall camp with the South Dakota State football team. If you want more details or have questions, stop by ArgusLeader.com at 2 p.m. today for the return of the weekly live chat:

The coaches on Wednesday worked to set the initial depth chart for Week 1 at Missouri. It won't be released publicly until next week's game notes, but there haven't been any indications at practice of any real bombshells.
That said, cornerback Trey Carr (5-11, 185) from Omaha and linebacker J.T. Hassell (5-11, 195) of Titusville, Fla., remain the most likely true freshmen to play.

Another true frosh that's been drawing rave reviews: RB Isaac Wallace (6-1, 180) of Omaha. Still, pulling his redshirt would be a stretch given the existing depth at that spot and the fact that two-time All-American Zach Zenner will get the bulk of the carries.

The staff has been giving more No. 2 reps at quarterback to relative late recruit Zach Lujan. He was a junior college starter and conference offensive player of the year last season as a true freshman.

The defensive coaches have started handing out their gray shirts; those signify that a player is grading out at a high level and doing the right things. The first batch went to DT Cole Langer, LB T.J. Lally, CB Je Ryan Butler, CB Jimmie Forsythe and DE Kevin Klocek.

Former South Dakota State defensive lineman Logan Rath reportedly is in in the mix to earn playing time as a back-up, walk-on at Nebraska.

Coach John Stiegelmeier said that it's largely business as usual for special teams. That group returns all of its parts, but has a new coordinator with Shannon Moore going to Florida International. Actually, there are co-coordinators: receivers coach Josh Davis and safeties coach Jay Christensen. Stiegelmeier said sharing those duties has been a good move; it prevents either coach from getting bogged down.

Saturday is the official end of fall camp. There will be a morning scrimmage, an evening walk-through at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium and the team will start its in-depth work on Mizzou.
