Here goes nothing:

Tickets for the 2015 Summit League basketball tournament – the first held in the Denny Sanford Premier Center – go on sale at various times this week. It's going to be a different process in many regards.

  • There are three price points for all-session passes with the least expensive being $115. That's what every all-session pass sold for last season.
  • The upper bowl will not be open for all-session passes initially. That could change if there's enough demand, according to Wes Hall of the Sioux Fall Sports Authority. That puts the starting point for capacity in the range of 7,000. If the upper bowl comes into play, capacity jumps roughly 11,500.
  • One of the pre-sale items is club seats. Why? Because club seats have personal seat licenses, meaning purchasers have first right of refusal on every single event in the facility. If they decline, that inventory becomes available for sale to the public. That's not the way it works with suites: Those are considered to be taken whether used or not.

Injury updates from SDSU football practice: DE Matt Romano (knee) hasn't been at practice, while OL Travis Zimmerman and CB Freeman Simmons are considered questionable for Week 1, according to coach John Stiegelmeier. The juco transfer Zimmerman – a projected back-up at this point – has been in a walking boot. The redshirt freshman Simmons suffered a significant hand injury during a practice drill Friday and now is wearing a cast. He was likely the third or fourth corner heading into the opener at Missouri.

SDSU men's basketball sophomore center Connor Devine got married over the weekend in his home state of Alaska. But he's not leaving the team or anything.

I'll get into this more in a couple weeks with the season preview, but the Jacks are considering redshirting cross country standout Joel Reichow in addition to All-American Trent Lusignan. Reichow was fifth at the Summit League meet last fall as a true sophomore.
