Man arrested for DWI in rollover in western Sioux Falls

A 27-year-old man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after he rolled his truck in western Sioux Falls Wednesday morning.

Witnesses called police at 7:16 a.m. to 12^th Street and Discovery Avenue, near Ellis Road.

Joshua Dean Brinkerhoff was headed west on 12^th Street, when he lost control of his red 1999 F-250 and jumped the curb, police spokesman Sam Clemens said. He continued along the boulevard, striking several mailboxes, before the truck rolled.

Clemens said Brinkerhoff escaped injury because he was wearing his seatbelt. He was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and no driver’s license.
