92-year-old Vermillion man dies after running stop sign

A 92-year-old Vermillion man died in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 50 and 19 Thursday evening.
Martin Weeks was driving south on Highway 19 in his 1992 Chevy Blazer and ran a stop sign, according to a news release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
Weeks’ Blazer struck the side of a trailer being driven by 48-year-old Alan Dale Ouellette of Vermillion, who was driving on Highway 50.
Weeks was not wearing a seatbelt. Ouellette was.
Weeks died from his injuries; Ouellette was uninjured.
