Cutler & Donahoe LLP has been renamed Cutler Law Firm LLP, and founding partner Brian Donahoe has left the firm.

Donahoe’s last day was Dec. 31. He has started Donahoe Law Firm PC in an office on the second floor of 8th & Railroad Center.

“I have nothing but respect and gratitude for my former partners and associates there, but it was time for me to do something different,” he said.

He is the only employee for now and said he is working with other law firms on matters, including his former one. He has been in private practice since 1995, is licensed in three states and specializes in railroad law, construction law, and land use and environmental law.

The former Cutler & Donahoe was founded in 1997. Cutler Law Firm has 18 lawyers, including 14 partners. Alex Halbach became a partner at the beginning of the year.

“We’re looking to hire some additional attorneys as well,” founding partner Kent Cutler said.

The firm primarily focuses on business transactions and litigation.

“We have a lot of business clients,” Cutler said. “We help them with all aspects of their business from acquiring and selling assets to human resources issues to estate planning issues to litigation they may have.”

The firm is located at 100 N. Phillips Ave.
